If you are true golfer there are much better courses in the area to play for less money - including the muni Little Bennett run by Montgomery County. Average pace of play, AVERAGE, is five hours. The day we played it was 5 hours and 20 minutes. Course conidtions can best be described as ragged. Lots of open divots and ball marks on greens. Apparently no one thinks of filling divots or repairing ball marks is part of the game at PB Dye. Rough had not been cut for at least a month and was over 6 inches to 8 inches deep with old cuttings everywhere. Most bunkers have NO sand. Go to Whiskey Creek, Little Bennett or Worthington Manor for better conditions. Pace of play is a problem everywhere in MD. Don't expect to get around at any of these courses in less than 5 hours.

Greens are not hard to reach, but 2-putts are not easy....fast and contoured.

What interests me about this course is the subtleties around the greens. Seems like there is always more than one way to play an approach or chip and it challenges your imagination.
